The Federal Government has been through one of the most tumultuous sessions in Canadian history.  We have seen the creation of a coalition between the opposition parties due to an economic statement, which lacked anything substantial to promote growth and recovery for our country.

The lengths John Tory is willing to go to has reached a new low. After winning the Tory leadership in 2004, John Tory ran in a by-election in the riding of Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey previously held by former Conservative Leader Ernie Eves.  The seat was held by a Conservative for many years and was considered to be a “safe” seat.  Tory won the seat but promised to run in Toronto in the 2007 general election.  His decision to run against Liberal Education Minister Kathleen Wynne in the 2007 general election, was somewhat misguided as he was handed a resounding defeat leaving him once again as a leader without a seat.
